Liam Gallagher just apologized for the use of an unintended racial slurry.
The iconic British legend who is ready to reunite with his brother, Noel Gallagher for the highly expected Oasis Live ’25 Tour, Marking their return after 16 long years recognized his mistake of using inappropriate language.
Liam, who is ready to kick the Gig Principality Stadium in Cardiff on July 4, and perform another evening on July 5, then goes to several places in the UK and Ireland, including Heaton Park in Manchester, Wembley Stadium in London, Croke Park in Dublin and Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.
On Tuesday Wonderwall Hitmaker posted an anti-Asian slur, “Chingchong” on his X, former Twitter account that led to huge setbacks.
In response, a fan wrote, “Liam, you can’t say it,” As Liam asked, “why,” while another worried fan told him he “might be canceled today,” as the front man nonchalant replied, “Whatever.”
Later, however, he deleted the post and mentioned the racially inappropriate word, and punished an apology that read:
“Sorry if I offended someone with my tweet before it wasn’t intentional, you know I love you all and I don’t discriminate. Peace and love.”
This is also not the first time Liam comes under fire to having used racial slurves as back in 2022, during the World Cup, he published the skilled slurh “Mong”, which was aimed at the then England manager Gareth Southgate.
In another old post, he wrote “Fuck You Woke Spastics.” And although both posts were deleted by the Oasis star, he did not address them.
Now, two days before Liam and Noel Gallagher reunite on stage for their reunion tour, it seems that it is only appropriate that the stars do their best to prevent people from being disappointed, especially when they are already quite close to having a pretty legendary reunion.
