Libya, Pakistani military bosses discussing security

Commander of the Libyan armed forces Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Havar called Fieldmarshal Syed Asim Munir on Friday at General headquarters.

The meeting included discussion on questions of mutual interest, developing regional dynamics, security challenges and issues relating to defense cooperation, a press release issued by ISPR said.

Both leaders agreed to implement defense -industrial collaboration and exchange of technical expertise to tackle modern security challenges.

After his arrival at GHQ, he made a flower wreath at Yadgar-E-Shuhada to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistani army.

General Size Lieutenant also called for the Chief of Fleet Personnel (CNS), Admiral Naveed Ashraf here Friday at the Naval headquarters.

Upon arrival at the Naval headquarters, Commander-in-Chief of Libyan Armed Forces was received by Chief of the Naval Staff, a press release issued by Directorate General Public Relations (Pak Navy).

During the meeting, both leaders discussed questions of mutual interest, regional maritime security situation and opportunities for improved cooperation in education and defense.

Lieutenant General Havar and his delegation called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met at the Prime Minister House here Friday and discussed questions of mutual interest.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister welcomed the Libyan Commander -in -Chief and his delegation to Pakistan.

The meeting discussed cooperation between the two countries in different areas.
