Islamabad:
The federal government has approved significant changes to the Nadra rules, 2002, in accordance with section 44 of the Nadra Regulation, 2000.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, these changes are aiming to improve inclusiveness, streamline documentation and meet the unique needs for specific segments of the population.
One of the most important changes is the issuance of different identity cards for special persons with lifetime validity. Special citizens, both residents and non-resident, recognized by federal or provincial units, are eligible for NICs with a wheelchair logo and lifetime validity.
