Lily Allen took back his words of his criticism of Katy Perry’s controversial space flying.
In April 28, the episode of her Miss me? Podcast Allen issued a detailed apology for her comments to Katy Perry after her blue origin’s 11-minute all-high space flying.
“Because we’re talking about a very famous female person who is a little divisive, I would actually like to apologize for being bad about Katy Perry last week,” Allen said of the compliments she made in a previous episode of the podcast.
The singer-songwriter continued to say, “There was actually no need for me to bring her name into it. And that was my own internalized misogyny. I’ve been thinking a lot about it and it was just unnecessary to pile with her.”
Allen admitted that she still “disagreed” with the Space Trip project, but specifically calling Perry’s name wasn’t the right step.
“I don’t know there was anything in me that decided to choose her as the person … Yes, anyway, I’m just sorry. I would have been hurt if it had been me and someone in my industry used me and my name,” she explained.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry, Katy Perry. I know you’re not listening to the show, but yes, sorry,” Allen concluded.
For those who are not daring, Jeff Bezof’s blue origin room flying took place on April 14, which included a total of six women including Katy Perry.
