Detroit Lions entered Baltimore on Monday night and got away with a high scoring victory, 38-30, over the Ravens.
Lions moved to 2-1, while the Ravens is now 1-2 after wobbling late in this game.
Since these are two of the most explosive offenses in the NFL to start the new year, it was expected to be a shootout at M&T Bank Stadium and that was exactly what football fans got from Ravens and Lions.

It was Detroit to get on the board first with his opening drive, walk 11 pieces and 67 yards with Jahmyr Gibbs, who found the end zone for the first time at night with a one-yard race. But the Ravens’ opening drive script was even better thanks to their Pro Bowl ran back.
Derrick Henry, who just had 23 meters, rushing in the victory over Cleveland Browns last week, this field broke with a 28-yard touchdown race for even the scoring after the extra point.
After punts of both teams on their next drive, Lions were on their own two-yard line late in the first quarter. Baltimore hoped to make it a quick point considering the circumstances, but Detroit was simply better on the line with review as they remained true to the running and managed to walk 98 yards into 18 pieces for a touchdown.

It was David Montgomery, Gibbs’ counterpart in the back field that stopped it in to hood a drive that took almost 11 minutes from the first half clock from the board to make it 14-7.
It looked like Momentum would be completely on Lions’ sidelines, especially after being able to stop the ravens near the finish line of four attempts to get a turnover of downs. However, Lamar Jackson and Company were able to tie things on 14 pieces with 24 seconds back in the second quarter after Rashod Bateman was found far open in front of the final zone.
When the second half began, Baltimore got the right to work, go 11 pieces and 73 yards, where Jackson threw a seed to the tight endmark Andrews for the Touchdown lead. But just like in the first half, Detroit had answered with its own touchdown when Goff placed the ball perfectly for Amon-Ra St. Brown that stroked down the right sideline into the end zone.

At 21 pieces that entered the fourth quarter, and both offenses that clearly click on, this game felt like it would come down on the cord. Lions got their lead back after a gadget game on the fourth-and-1 from the Baltimore-Fire-Yard Line, then St. Brown returned it to Gibbs to score.
The ravens were able to get a field goal and a timely punt as they had 8:31 back in the fourth quarter and a four-point deficit to overcome. But Henry fumbled on the first spectacle as Aidan Hutchinson knocked the ball out of behind.
Fortunately, a Facemask penalty of a Lions offensive Lineman stopped a potential game seal drive, with Detroit forced to get Jake Bates to nail a field goal to get their seven-point lead back.
Jackson and Ravens needed another answer to scores, but Lions’ defense was relentless and forced a three-and-out when the defensive front just got Jackson down to the grass-something we are definitely not used to seeing.
Lions were able to sack Jackson seven times when al-Quadin Muhammad got 2.5, while Hutchinson, Derrick Barnes, Trevor Nowaske and Jack Campbell each spoke.
Detroit had the opportunity to seal their victory after forced the pun, and they didn’t just get the necessary downs. Montgomery, who led the game with 151 yard’s rushing on 12 bears, went 31 yards to the house to make it a 38-24 game.
Lions also went after it fourth down in the game before the scoring, where Goff placed another great care for St. Brown for not only keeping the drive going, but not giving Jackson the ball in midfield. Goff ended the game 20-of-28 in 202 yards with St. Brown, who led Lions with 77 yards on seven catches.
Detroit also had 225 rushing yard, with Gibbs in 67 on 22 carrier, while also caught five passes in 32 yards.

For Ravens, they had a touchdown drive with only a few seconds left on the clock, but it was too little too late in the end.
Jackson finished 21-of-27 in 288 yards with three touchdown passes, two of whom went to Andrews, who led the game with 91 receiving yards of six catches. Henry was held at only 50 meters on 12 carrier.
