Moments after Detroit Lions Safety Morice Norris left the field in an ambulance during Friday’s Forsy Season match against Atlanta Falcons with a serious injury, players from both teams stopped playing to gather in the middle of Mercedes-Benz Stadium and participate in prayer.
Norris, 24, were wounded early in the fourth quarter when he tried to tackle Falcons run back Nathan Carter. He remained moving on the ground after Carter’s legs appeared to get in touch with his head under tackle.

The game was delayed when Norris was observed by medical staff for approx. 20 minutes before leaving the track in an ambulance.

Games resume shortly after, and that’s when the powerful scene unfolded.
Falcons seemed to lose a snap as players on both sides of the ball stood. The clock continued to run, leaving advertisers and fans confused. The players then grabbed their hands, bent their heads and stood in a circle to pray.
“Man, it’s a violent game and we love it, but when something similar happens, silver -lined is the brother -in -law,” said Lion’s main coach Dan Campbell after the game when he talked to the media. “I mean to see all these guys – from the team our team – get together and everyone thinks of another player, it just means a lot.”

An emotional Campbell said he and Falcon’s head coach Raheem Morris agreed that they would not continue the game, adding that “it just didn’t feel right.” With 6:31 back in the game came the official call from the league in that spectacle had been suspended.
“When something similar happens, it puts things into perspective,” Campbell added. “I just beg for Mo. I beg that everyone praying for him.”
Lions said in an update late Friday night that Norris was in “steady state” and that he had “feeling and movement in all his extremities.”

“He is breathing, he is talking. That’s good. He has some movement. Now the more tests are running,” Campbell added.
Norris should remain at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta overnight “For Observation.”
