Los Angeles Dodgers Superstar Shohei Ohtani may be a global baseballicon, but not in the eyes of a small League World Series player.
Australia’s Monica Arcuri revealed an interaction with Ohtani that made her think he is “not really humble.”
Arcuri was shown on ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball” Kidscast during the New York Mets-Seatle Mariners game Sunday in Williamsport, PA., The host city in the Little League World Series. During her interview, Brisbane described natives, who participated in an Los Angeles Angels game in Anaheim in 2023.

“He hit a home drive into an area where the fans couldn’t walk, and then this guy got the ball and gave it to my brother,” Arcuri explained to the broadcast. “Then the next day we went to the VIP box in front and I asked for [Ohtani’s] Signature, but all he gave me was a side-eye and not a nice look.

“So after that I’ve never wished him ever since. He isn’t really humble. Not my style.”
That season was Ohtani’s last in an Angels uniform before Dodgers swung in with a then record 10-year contract of $ 700 million, although $ 680 million of it was postponed.
Ohtani’s first season with Dodgers ended up with an NL MVP prize and a World Series ring after defeating New York Yankees in five games in “Fall Classic.”

However, Ohtani has been exposed to controversy from the field since last season.
First, his former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, was jailed for stealing nearly $ 17 million from the Japanese star to pay off game debt.
Ohtani was publicly approaching the scandal at the end of March before the start of his initial dodgers season and said he had never placed a sports bet and that Mizuhara’s story of paying his $ 4.5 million game debt was produced.
Recently, Ohtani and his agent, Nez Balelo, headlines after being sued by a Hawaii real estate investor and broker to allegedly caused their firing from a luxury dwelling of $ 240 million.
