Livvy Dunne dishes on cruel damage

Former Lsu Tigers gymnast Olivia Dunne opened for a cruel injury she suffered when she was younger, essentially shattering her dreams of becoming an American Olympic.

The natives in New Jersey began her trip to elite gymnastics in 2014 and was added to the national battle and began working up to senior elite level before she committed to LSU, where she won a national championship with the program before her collegial career ended.

Dunne explained on “What is your story? With Stephanie McMahon” that she suffered the devastating damage in 2018.

“I was actually competing for a wounded ankle at the US championships in 2018, and yes, part of my ankle bone died. … yes, it just died. So my Olympic dreams died with it,” she said. “It healed a little. It stopped bothering me. I went to college after that, but it was so painful. It was kind of my first real injuries.

“I’ve never actually got any operation, which is a little crazy for a gymnast. And I was like, I think if I just give myself time to heal, I can heal without surgery. But it’s something I’m proud of. I never need surgery as a gymnast, which is very uncommon.”

Dunne was able to compete at LSU until an injury eventually derailed his last year on the program.

She has been one of the most subsequent athletes on social media since she joined LSU. She boasts more than 8 million followers at Tiktok and another 5.4 million on Instagram. She helped Tigers a national championship in 2024, but her last year with LSU was derailed due to an injury.

Since then, she has seen cheering on her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, as he creates waves in MLB with Pittsburgh Pirates.
