- Logitech G has revealed and released its RS50 Race System
- Products include wheel base, racing wheels, pedals and more
- They can be purchased now from Logitech G’s site
Logitech’s game brand, Logitech G, has just revealed and launched a number of new racing-simmered hardware. Many of the brand’s previous products have ended up in our best racing wheel guides, including best PS5 Racing Wheels and Best Xbox Racing Wheels – and this new party could end the same.
Known together as the RS50 system, the full package includes a whole new wheelbase, wheel hub, racing wheels and table clamps. A set of Rs pedals is also available, albeit sold separately. All equipment can be purchased now on the Logitech G’s website.
In terms of price costs the RS50 system that includes all products over Sans Pedals, $ 699.99 / £ 599.99. The RS pedals will meanwhile sell for $ 159.99 / £ 119.99. If you wanted to buy on a per-hardware basis, you are also capable of it. For example, the RS50 shaft spacing is $ 349.99 / £ 249.99 for the PC-Kun version, while a PlayStation version comes at $ 449.99 / £ 339.99.
The Håon Base offers a direct drive motor capable of a fairly thunderous 8nm torque. As with previous Logitech G products, the brand’s Trueforce Force Feedback is also activated. You can also expect an OLED screen for different settings and adjustments and up to 2,700 degrees of angle.
It may sound excessive but Logitech cited the rising popularity of trucksims like Euro truck simulator 2 As a reason for such a wide turnarching angle. Of course, this can all be customized and limited via the G HUB software on PC, with saved settings that are also transferred to Console.
The RS pedals meanwhile offer a few innovations that definitely make them worth a look if you are eager to upgrade. A customizable 165 lb / 75 kg load cell brake and tail-powered accelerator are the clear standouts here. You can also adjust the pedal length and apply (included) carpet grips and/or wall struts to secure them in place for desktop -based setups.
While the RS50 system differs from them as the excellent Logitech G923 or Logitech G920, as it is a direct drive setup as opposed to plug-and-play, its high adjustment level and (hopefully) strong build quality can make it a racing setup that will last you in the years to come.
