There are some incredibly big ones whose abbreviated, movies to watch on YouTube shorts. Many of them may soon be more literally incredibly thanks to Google’s AI-Video creation model VEO 2.
Dream Screen has used the original version of the VEO to make video background with text outer writing for shorts since last year. VEO 2 sets out ante significantly by also making grades and objects for the video along with the background. The upgrade also makes Dream Screen faster, better at understanding text ensures and able to produce much more realistic results. The videos mimic physics in the real world, and the characters move as realistically (or cartoon) as you might want to.
You can try the improved dream screen by opening the shorts camera, selecting the Green screen and entering what you want to see. You can even add an AI-generated clip to an existing card by tapping “Add”, then “Create” and then write the prompt up. VEO 2 takes over and within seconds your giant Pomeranian Ballerina is ready to perform.

The upgrade to the dream screen raises many questions and possible concerns. Will AI-Generated Content Flood YouTube Shorts, making it more difficult to tell what’s real and what isn’t? What will creativity look like when barriers to high quality visuals disappear? Will we simply get stuck in a loop of AI-generated influencers making AI-generated content to an audience of AI-driven recommendation algorithms?
Google seems to get the hyper-realistic AI videos made in seconds may have some potential pitfalls. Therefore, YouTube attaches a Visual Watermark and a label that indicates the AI Opening of any dream-screen-produced video. How well these transparency and tracking attempts work to see, but at least there is something.
The new feature comes only to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand for now, but others are in pipeline, with more countries on the way. If you are a YouTube content, this can be a huge blessing, especially if the only thing between your video and viral fame is a slightly more perfect shot, better storage footage or some real outlandish.
