- A UI 7 now appears on phones from 2023
- Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 FE are included
- South Korea is the first country to see the update
The development of a UI 7, which is Samsung’s acquisition of Android 15, has been a rather creeping one so far – but it seems there is some light at the end of the software update tunnel, with both the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 FE, now receiving their upgrades.
News about the updates emerge in different places, with Sammobile-Potting, that the Galaxy S23 devices are now receiving the software and the well-known tipster @Tarunvats33 reports on the arrival of a UI 7 to the Galaxy S24 FE.
There is a warning here, which is that the rollout has only been seen in Samsung’s homeland South Korea so far. However, it should not be too long before these same devices get a UI 7 over the rest of the world.
Samsung Galaxy S23, launched in 2023, suggesting that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 – The flagship folding from that year – should also get a UI 7 in the near future.

We got our first proper look at a UI 7 when it appeared on the Samsung Galaxy S25 hand set, which was launched in January. Although it lacked some small finishes, the software development was almost completed in time for these devices.
However, one UI 7 upgrade has taken a while to reach older Samsung phones. The release date of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 hand sets was originally set to April 7, but even then it didn’t go smoothly.
During the first few days, there were reports of a mistake that had stopped the roll of the software, although there was not much in the way of clarity about what had happened – or when a UI 7 possibly continued to be pushed out to devices.
Since then, the 2024 Samsung hand set has apparently started getting the update again, and now the 2023 phones are following on. If you just get the software, you won’t have a long time exploring its features because a UI 8 is already on the way.
