MAD MONEY’S JIM CRAMER SAYS ‘OWN BITCOIN, NOT MICROSTRATUY’

Former Hedge Fund Manager Jim Cramer called for owning Bitcoin (BTC), but not its largest public owner Microstratey, in the latest segment of CNBC’s mad money on Monday night.

“If you want to own Bitcoin, (you) your own Bitcoin,” Cramer said in response to a call during the segment. “I own Bitcoin, you have to own Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a good thing to have in your portfolio. “

“But not Microstratey,” he concluded without further details or resonance. Microstratey is the world’s largest proprietor of the asset with over 417,107 Bitcoin, worth over $ 48 billion at current awards, in his Treasury from Monday.

But there may be reason to cheer for Microstratey Bulls and Bitcoin Bears in the coming weeks. Cramer’s choice often tends to move in the opposite direction in the long term, and he is often perceived as a signal that is historically associated with reverse betting.

A humorous internet theory called “inverse cramer” even spurred the creation of a short -term reverse cramer Etf in 2022 (before shutting down by the beginning of 2024).

In January 2024, Cramer said Bitcoin probably jumped out and called for an output. The asset has risen more than 100% since.

BTC traded with just over $ 103,000 in Asian morning hours, an increase of 4% since Monday.
