Madness -Elegayer Chris foreman forced off stage after devastating diagnosis

Chris foreman breaks silence over cancerous fighting

Madness legend Chris Foreman has been diagnosed with incurable cancer.

The legendary guitarist, also known as Chrissy Boy, will be forced to move away from Band’s concerts this year.

Chris announced that he has been diagnosed with myeloma, a type of blood cancer that affects the bones and other parts of the body.

The 69-year-old musician wrote an emotional note to his fans via Madness’s official Facebook page. Updating his fans wrote Chris on Friday, “Earlier this year I had serious pain in my upper back and shoulders.”

“On June 28, we played a show in France and it had become unbearable. I had an MRI scan at the end of June and they found a tumor on my spine. On July 4, I went to Royal Sussex and had all the kinds of things done to me. I had radiation therapy that jumped it and stopped the pain,” he continued.

“In fact, I also had a spinal cord system – Rock N Roll!

“Some people have had this for 20 years or more. I have a long way to go before I get back on stage, but I aim to be back next year. The band, my family, my road herd family and my management team have all been very loving and supportive.

“One of the worst side effects is that I can’t drink alcohol, but I’ve mastered a non -alcoholic margarita and these zero alcohol beer is not so bad these days. It’s been really hard not to be on stage with the band this year,” Chris wrote.

Finally, “They’ve worked really hard, and the performances looked so good. I don’t know how they did it without me, to be righteous. I won’t be able to do butlins or the tour this year, which is a great shame, but ……” I’m back! “CB Foreman – Peacehaven, August 29, 2025 (Sic).”

Chris Foreman is one of the basic members of Madness formed in 1976.
