Mahrang’s in custody

Quetta:

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Quetta on Saturday the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) chief Mahrang Baloch and other organizers of the group for police custody sent 20 days.

The BYC chief’s detention has again been extended. In March, Mahrang and other members of BYC were detained on charges of attacking Quetta Civil Hospital and provocative public turmoil following a police outbreak during their protest against alleged enforced disappearance.

Mahrang is currently being held in the Hudda District Prison in Quetta in accordance with section 3 of MPO, a statutory provision that allows authorities to arrest people who are considered a threat to public peace.
