Maine AG: ‘No Concerns of Security’ by allowing Trans -Athletes in Girls’ Sports

Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey turned to the trial filed against his state by the US Ministry of Justice, Wednesday over the state’s attitude towards trans -grinding athletes in girls’ and women’s sports.

In an interview with CNN, Frey defended his state’s continued support for trans -cluttering and insisted that “there are no security problems” to let biological men compete with girls.

“However, we have been working to understand what, if there is any problem, exists with participation. If some of the injuries alleged are really of some concern and what we have identified, there is really no worries of security,” Frey said.

Frey also said there are “no worries” over trans athletes who “just choose” to compete in the girls category.

“There are no worries about people who just choose what gender they will give themselves to participate. So it is also after a lot of working on whether there is any problem here that guarantees this intrusion from the federal government about what is going on in Maine schools,” Frey said.

National awareness of Trans athletes in Maine was ignited when state representative Laurel Libby identified a polish jumper who won a girls ‘competition for Greely High School after competing in the boys’ category in previous seasons.

Security concerns about trans -cluttering in girls and women’s sports were increased nationally after former high school volleyball player Payton McNabb suffered a concussion, brain haemorrhage and permanent whiplash after having hit the face with a volleyball hit by a trans athlete.

Still, Frey insists that security and competitive concerns are not on the radar of the democratic officials in Maine and claim that they are currently only aware of two trans athletes competing in girls’ sports in the state.

“There are just a small number of trans students participating in sports that two numbers are all we’ve found out,” Frey said. He also suggested that Maine follow both state and federal laws by allowing trans -cluttering in girls’ sports.
