Maine GOP state representative Laurel Libby filed an emergency with the first appeal on Monday over a recent decision that maintained her distrust in the legislature.

The state’s democratic majority voted to censor her for writing a social media post that identified a trans athlete who won a girls’ state pole vault competition in February. Libby filed a lawsuit against the house’s speaker Ryan Fecteau to overturn it, but Rhode Island US District Court referee Melissa Dubose gave up against Libby on Friday.

Dubose was appointed by Former President Joe Bid Just before he traveled in January.

Libby previously told Pakinomist Digital that she would appeal the decision when it was announced and now she has it and she is willing to take her case to the Supreme Court.

“Our appeal asks the right to rectify this abuse of power and confirm that regulatory management cannot use procedural maneuvers and sweeping allegations of immunity against sidelines that disagree with votes and liberated the entire community,” Libby told Pakinomist Digital in a statement.

“I am still optimistic that the court will acknowledge what is clearly at stake: the integrity of the representative government and the basic principle that no elected official, no legislative leader, and no party majority is over the Constitution.

Libby represents 9,000 voters in Maines 90. District and have been unable to speak or vote on their behalf in state laws for two months.

This appeal is about far more than a legislature’s seat – it’s about defending the constitutional rights for 9,000 mainers who currently have no vote and no vote in the Maine House of Representatives, “Libby said.

“I am grateful for the support of my voters and so many others across Maine who understand the importance of speaking truth and standing. I will continue to push forward until the voices of the people I was chosen to represent will be heard again in Augusta.”

Dubose presided the case after each district judge in Maine refused to take it.

Judges John C. Nivison, John A. Woodcock, Lance E. Walker, Karen F. Wolf, Stacey D. Neumann and Nancy Torresen signed repayment orders shortly after the case was originally filed. No reason was given.

So the case went to Dubose on Rhode Island.

The censorship so far has cost her a chance to vote on the state’s half -yearly budget and propose a bill to expand access to mental health resources for residents. It also prevents Libby from voting for or talking on the house bond on a bill that would add trans -cluttering in girls’ sports to the state constitution.

Her colleagues will vote on the Democrat’s majority’s bill after it has adopted with a slim simple majority in the house on Thursday, but it needs a two -third majority in both chambers before it can go for voters. If it was adopted, it would codify in the State Constitution Maine Human Rights Actthat protects the rights of transient athletes to compete for sports teams of the opposite sex.

The US Department of Justice filed a trial Against the state of his running ferment against Trumps to keep men out of women’s sports -performing order. Maine has been subjected to federal pressure in the last two months in relation to his rejection of complying with, including two federal studies, a financing freezing of the US Ministry of Agriculture (USDA) and now a lawsuit.

The Democrat’s leadership in the state, led by Government Manager Janet Mills, has fought back by filing his own trial against Trump on financing freezing. Another federal judge has already decided that the USDA should free up financing.
