Maine Trans Athlete Battle: Laurel Libby slams Janet Mills over trial response

Maine Gov. Janet Mills released a statement that justified the state’s activation of trans athletes in girls’ sports Wednesday after the US Ministry of Justice brought a lawsuit against the state on the issue.

Mills’ answer included a phrase that read, “I have fought tirelessly for the rights of women and girls for children and families and families.”

Prominent GOP state representative Laurel Libby has stated against Mills to include the mention of the verdict in a statement delivered to Pakinomist Digital.

“Let me be clear, Governor Janet Mills ‘claim that she has always risen for women’s and girls’ rights in Maine is completely false. The Department of Justice’s lawsuit against Maine for refusing to comply with title IX is proof of what it would not exist if she had.

“This isn’t about States’ Rights, as She Claims; It’s About Governor Mills and Maine Democrats Pushing Far-Left Ideologies That Ignore Biological Reality. By Disregarding Title IX, They’ve Discriminated Against and Endangered Women and Girls, and Put Mains and Families to Disadvantage. Frankly, By Promoting Policies That Erase The Identities of Women and Girls In Maine, It’s Hard to Believe Even Governor Mills Believe’s What She’s says.

Maine Gov Janet Mills responds to DOJ -REST SAVING AGAINST HER STATE OVER TRANS ATERMENTS IN GIRLS SPORTS

Libby, who was at Wednesday’s press conference, with US legal lawyer Pam Bondi announcing the trial, has been one of Mills’ toughest critics in the past two months when the state has refused to comply with President Donald Trumps to keep men out of women’s sports -executing orders. After Trump signed the order on February 5, Maine was one of the earliest states that showed his intention not to comply with it.

Libby brought attention to the state’s ongoing trans-Including policy as she made a social media post that identified a biologically male trans-athlete who won a girls’ polehvell competition for Greely High School in mid-February.

Since the position, two federal agencies have launched investigations of the state. The Ministry of Agriculture has frozen funding for it, and now an official lawsuit has been filed from DOJ. Maine has brought her own lawsuit against the Trump administration over the financing freezing, and a federal judge has given up that funding must be fragile.

Meanwhile, Libby was censored by the Democrat’s majority in the Maine representatives’ House for her social media post on the premise that she identified a minor. Libby has since sued the house’s speaker Ryan Fecteau to get censored overturned and argued that the minor she identified had already been published in other media.
