“As I have said before, this is not just about who can compete in the athletic field, this is about whether a president can force compliance with his will, without regard to the rule of law that governs our nation. I think he cannot.”

The Ministry of Justice has accused the state “Open and defiant whistling federal law on discrimination by enforcing policies that require girls to compete against boys in athletic competitions appointed exclusively for girls,” according to a complaint obtained by Pakinomist.

“By prioritizing gender identity rather than biological reality, Main’s politics deprives girls of fair competition, refuses them equally athletic opportunities and exposes them to increased risks of physical injury and psychological injury,” the complaint added.

The complaint said the United States will seek “judgment that gives declaring injunctions and replaces relief to the defendant’s violation of section IX and the federal financing contracts, it signed promising to comply with section IX and its implementing rules.”

The announcement of the trial comes almost two months after a notorious hostile exchange between Trump and Mills at a bi-party meeting for the White House led by Governors on February 21. The exchange ended with both Trump and Mills expressing the phrase “see you in court” after Mills insisted that her state would refuse to comply with his order.

Now Trump’s administration has done well with his promise to take the question to court.

The state has also launched its own trial against the Trump administration over the recent USDA cuts, and a federal judge has also ordered that funding cannot be frozen.

ONE Examination of The coalition of the American parents found that out of approx. 600 registered Maine voters, 63% said school sports participation should be based on biological sex, and 66% agreed that it is “only fair to limit women’s sports to biological women.”

The survey also found that 60% of residents would support a ballot limiting participation in Women’s and girls’ sports to Biological Women. This included 64% of the independent and 66% of parents with children under the age of 18.
