- More DJI osmo 360 images delicious out
- We see the inside and outside of the camera
- The launch of the device is in doubt
The Insta360 X5 has only just arrived on stage, but it seems that we may be getting another flagship 360-degree camera very soon: dozens of images of DJI Osmo 360 have now been leaked with its instruction manual.
These leaks come from @quadro_News and @hakasushi (via notebookcheck) and give us a very detailed look at both the outside and the inside of the camera. The images appear to be from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) testing in the United States.
We first heard about DJI Osmo 360 arrived in FCC back in October, so this compact 360-degree camera has been in a long time. We then saw further leaked images appear online in February, apparently showed the camera with DJI Osmo Action 6.
The latest leak around this camera came in March when we got another unofficial shot of DJI Osmo 360 along with the news that it could well have a 1/1.3-inch image sensor to take photos and high resolution videos.
Will we ever see it?

In fact, we don’t learn too much of the latest leakage, although the instruction manual mentions a 1,950 mAh battery. There is also a confirmation that the camera has an aboard touch screen and work with the DJI Mimo app.
However, Tipster @jasperellens suggests that we may not see DJI Osmo 360 after all. He points to a shortage of retailer leaks and continuous uncertainty about customs duties in the United States as reasons why DJI may have paused this particular product.
It would be a shame if DJI was unable to give them like the Insta360 X5 and GoPro Max some extra competition, but the times are difficult for hardware companies right now – we know that GoPro Max 2 has also seen more problems and delays.
All considered, DJI would be forgiven to concentrate on producing the best drones in the industry rather than any new action cameras. However, these leaks show that DJI Osmo 360 is far down its development path, so we will have to wait and see.
