A Pakistani Army Major was martyrated during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Awaran district, which killed three Indian sponsored terrorists, the military’s media wing said Wednesday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched on confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists belonging to Fitna-Al-Hindustan, an Indian proxy group operating in the region.
“Security forces effectively engaged the terrorist’s hiding place,” the statement says, adding, “as a result of the intense exchange of fire, three Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell.”

During the engagement, Major Syed Rabnawaz Tariq, 34, included a resident of Muzaffarabad, martyrdom. ISPR said the brave officer led his troops from the front and fought gallantly before putting his life in the duty of duty.
A sanitization operation is underway in the area to eliminate remaining threats, the statement added.
“Pakistan’s security forces remain determined to eradicate the threat of Indian sponsored terrorism,” ISPR said. “Such noble victims of our brave men only strengthen the nation’s decision to eradicate terrorism from the country,” it added.
