Islamabad:
The federal government has introduced major changes in the pension system and affects all government employees and pensioners.
According to a recently issued notification, pensions are now calculated based on the average salary of the last 24 months and employees are no longer allowed to receive more pensions.
According to the new policy, the government’s employees will be determined by means of the average salary of their last 24 months service. They are not allowed to withdraw more than one pension. However, this rule does not apply to employees who choose voluntary retirement.
