Male professors to be removed from women’s universities in Punjab

The Punjab government has decided to remove male professors and teachers from women’s universities throughout the province to prevent harassment and protect female students.

Governor Sardar Saleem Haider announced the decision while talking to the media, saying that strict penalties would be enforced against people involved in harassment at educational institutions.

In addition to removing male staff, the governor revealed that the system for preparing and checking examination assignments would be revised to protect female students from extortion and harassment.

“All university administrations have been instructed to implement the new system,” Haider said, adding that the forms for evaluation of performance will be distributed to the principal and professors. Future rewards and penalties will be based on these assessments.

She said that 30,000 scholarships were given to children, but that there should be more. She said public money should be spent on their welfare.

She added, “Very soon, second and third -year -old students also get deserving scholarships.”
