A man was arrested by the Lahore police after a video appeared and showed him engaging in inappropriate behavior with women.
The CCTV recordings clearly depict the suspect, Allah Rakha, making inappropriate movements against a woman before fleeing the stage.
According to reports, the suspect was arrested by Gulberg police late at night after the authorities used CCTV recordings to track him.
The arrest took place near Liberty Market, where he was taken into custody.
The Lahore police confirmed that under orders from SP Model Town a case was recorded and a quick act was taken to understand the defendant.
The incident took place two days ago on Ghalib Road, where the suspect harassed a woman on her way home from work during the night.
The CCTV footage showed Allah Rakha performed the inappropriate action and fled immediately afterwards.
SP Model Town, Ikhlaq Ullah Tarar, stated that under Punjab Minister Maryam Nawaz’s “Never Again” policy, clear instructions have been issued.
He emphasized that those who exploit women in any way will not be shown any gentleness.
The arrest sends a strong message about authorities’ obligation to ensure women’s security in the city.
