Rawalpindi:
A 16-year-old girl was allegedly shot by her father in Rawat after she refused to delete her Tiktok account. The tragic incident, originally reported as a suicide by the family, was later postponed as a murder during a police investigation.
According to a fir that was registered by the main constable Shahbaz Anjum, the accused, Ikhlaq Ahmed, had asked her daughter, Mahak, to delete her Tiktok account. After her rejection, he allegedly shot her in a rage, referring to the incident as a matter of “honor.”
After the shooting, Ikhlaq fled the scene. A police team led by Sho Zahid Zahoor arrested him later.

Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Khalid Hamdani noticed the incident and ordered a full investigation to be performed by SP Saddar Nabeel Khokhar.
Originally, the family tried to cover the killing by claiming it was a suicide. However, the study after Mortem confirmed that Mahak had died of gunshot wounds and established it as a case of murder.
Police collected evidence from the crime scene and a case has been registered under serious charges. CPO Hamdani stated that crimes against women and children are intolerable. If there are several suspects involved, they will also be brought to fruition.
