ESPN star Stephen A. Smith called for LSU Kvinde’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey on Monday after her interaction with a student reporter after an elite eight losses to UCLA.
The reporter started his question by noting that it was the second straight year that LSU had been removed in Elite Eight, and Mulkey hit and asked if it was good or “terrible.” The reporter replied, “Terrible.” Mulkey followed up asking, “How many last four do you play in?”

Mulkey’s Exchange became viral and it led to Smith’s reaction to “First Take.”
“I don’t want to take away from the fact that Kim Mulkey is a good coach and an established coach,” Smith said. “We just need to finally say this about her – she is very rude. She is very, very rude. She is rude, she is condescending and unnecessary for too many people.
“And it’s always with the right one. She doesn’t go up to the wrong one. It’s almost like she knows, Shannon (Sharpe), who to do it to and who’s not to do. There are certain people you do it for, they want to clap back. But she’s a phenomenal trainer, one of the best ever, but she’s just a very, very rude person.”

Mulkey has some history with journalists in general.
Before the tournament began, Mulkey shouted a reporter for eating during his press conference after Tigers lost in the SEC tournament to Texas.
She devised a Washington Post Reporter last year over a story of how she allegedly treated gay players while head coach in Baylor. She called the reporter “Sleazy.”
Mulkey also called the Los Angeles Times a pillar that described the tigers as “villains” and “Dirty Debutantes” describing the framing as a sexist. The paper later edited the column.
