The women’s last four culminates in Tampa, Florida, next month.
Auriemma expressed his disdain for the two regional during a news conference and said “it destroyed the game.”
“Half of the country has no chance of coming to a game in person. But you earn billions of TV. Well, in fact, you are not. That would be the men’s source,” he said via ESPN. “So yes, there are a lot of problems they need to solve. And again we could get our A– Beat Tomorrow and that won’t change my feelings.”
Auriemma added that “In a normal world driven by normal people, there would be only four teams here.”
“There are a lot of people in the women’s basketball community who think they are smarter than [how they run things in men’s basketball]”

Huskies wrapped their home schedule at the Gampel Pavilion Monday in Storrs, Connecticut. The team then had to fly to Spokane, Washington, for the next round of the tournament. If the team wins in Spokane Regional, it flies to Tampa.
Due to the number of teams, Auriemma said his team will have to wake up at 1 p.m. 05.00 local time in half an hour shot at. 7.30 pm
Auriemma’s team is used to strange travel situations.
Last year, the team went from playing games in Storrs to playing in Portland, Oregon, Regional and then Women’s Final Four in Cleveland. By 2023, the team went from Storrs to Seattle before losing in the regional semi -final.
