It was early exit for the eighth seed Louisville Cardinals, losing to No. 9 Creighton, 89-75, in their home state of Kentucky in March Madness on Thursday.
In the game’s last moments boiled frustrations.
Louisville head coach Pat Kelsey was called on a technical error after screaming to an official, but it was the least worrying event.

As both teams hugged because of the bad, a fan threw a water bottle on the field against the Creighton bench, which got a minor delay.
“It was a full bottle of water. It was very dangerous and it went just above the Creighton bench,” said play-by-play advertisement Brian Anderson. “I want to tell you, the one who did it should never be allowed to enter this arena again.”
Creighton head coach Greg McDermott used a towel to wipe out the water.
Jamiya Neal scored a career hill 29 points and had 12 rebounds, while Steven Ashworth connected from far beyond the arch on the way to 22 points.
McDermott’s Bluejays (25-10) won their fifth consecutive march Madness opener and beat a team ranked in the top 10 for the second time this season. Louisville (27-8) stepped in spite of his non-imperative grafting of No. 10 in AP Top 25.

Chucky Hepburn scored 22 points, and Terrence Edwards Jr. Had 21 for Louisville (27-8), which improved his record by 19 wins over the course of last season with a transfer-heavy list under Kelsey, a first-year main coach. It was Cardinals’ first March Madness performance since 2019, and they ran into a Creighton team with lots of experience after the season.
“They played well today. They were the better team,” Kelsey said.
