A new one Star Wars: New Jedi OrderWith Daisy Ridley’s Rey, are in the works. But Mark Hamill said he won’t be part of it.
The star that played Luke Skywalker in the franchise told Comic Book after being asked if he will perform in the upcoming movie.
“I am so grateful to George [Lucas] To let me be part of it back on the day, the humble days when George called Star Wars “The most expensive low budget movie ever made,” he said.
The actor continued, “We never expected it to be a permanent franchise and part of the pop culture like that. But my appointment is, I had my time. I appreciate it, but I really think they should focus on the future and all the new characters.”
To mitigate his comments haunted Mark that he would not return to the franchise because “when I disappeared in [The Last Jedi]I left my clothes. And there is no way I will act like a naked force ghost. “
Meanwhile, Star Wars: New order Jedi will be out on December 17, 2027.
