Mark Wahlberg has a famous career, but for his children, he says, they find it “pretty silly”
Explaining this in an interview with Additionalsays the actor, “I’m just a dad you know, silly, always willing to make fun of myself to make them laugh. I shoot a movie right now in Boston so they came to visit me there, which was a lot of fun.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Mark opens to his thoughts of letting his children follow in his footsteps in Hollywood.
The Shooting games Star recalls that one of his children would appear in the movies. So when Father-of-Four asked him to try his film family from 2023, his child did not.
“My son has mentioned it a few times, and then I actually asked him if he would try to play my son in ‘Family Plan’ and then he went on it,” he says. “And then we did the successor and he was like, ‘Dad, I should have done that.'”
This attitude, says Mark, made him realize that he would not push his children to a profession, especially in showbiz if they are not “serious” over it.
“I don’t want to push him, and if he doesn’t want to take it seriously, I won’t encourage it if he gives me the same attitude to get up to school as he gives me to get up to go to work, I can’t,” he concludes.
