Markets participate in festive independence day rush

Islamabad:

On the threshold of Independence Day, cities are buzzing over Pakistan of excitement as markets, streets and homes are transformed into lively exhibitions of green and white. Young people hurry to grab azadi offers, kids eagerly choose flags and festive accessories, and women prepare for the apartment with colorful patriotic clothes.

According to a report sent by the State News Channel, the festive atmosphere has triggered an increase in the sale of flags, accessories and the latest patriotic clothing. “This year we have seen a huge increase in demand compared to previous years,” a store owner said in a city market.

Shoppers share the same enthusiasm. “I love how the whole city comes alive with colors and energy – it makes me proud to celebrate Azadi,” said a college student. Citizens from different cities also expressed joy in seeing communities unite to decorate streets and homes and said that the screens “bring the spirit of life to life.”

Retailers in malls, local markets and online platforms offer special discounts and bundles to attract customers. Malls are decorated in patriotic colors, while many people decorate their cars with flags and stickers. Road stalls overflow with green-white merchandise and add the lively atmosphere.

In Lahore, preparations go beyond clothing and decor. Bakeries and cute stores create Independence Day-themed cakes and treats with orders for flag-shaped cakes and those enrolled with patriotic messages on the climb. “People love to celebrate with something sweet, and our azadi cakes have become very popular this year,” said a local baker.

From Karachi to Quetta, shop owners quickly report sales as families prepare for gatherings and parties. “From traditional candy to custom cakes and festive decor, the tension is tangible,” a market provider said.

The combined energy of flowering sales, colorful decorations and special treats makes this year’s independence day celebration among the most lively in recent memory, according to citizens of Islamabad.
