- Heston 60 is a small Dolby Atmos Soundbar and SUB 200 can be connected to it – or the larger Heston 120 – wireless
After its recent entry into the home theater arena, Marshall has revealed two more products to his TV sound area. Marshall Heston 60-one “compact but mighty” sound bar designed for use in smaller spaces, and Marshall Heston Sub 200-one wireless subwoofer, which can allegedly loosen “foundation-shaking bass”.
Marshall Heston 60 – arriving only months after his larger older siblings, Marshall Heston 120 – will be priced at £ 499.99 / $ 699.99 / € 599. Marshall’s online store and September 30 -launch via selected dealers.
Now I love Marshall’s first sound bar, Heston 120. I use it every day to watch movies, play games and listen to music. In my review, I assessed Soundbar Five Stars, so it’s safe to say I’m excited to expect great things from these new Marshall releases. Wanna know all the juicy details? Well, here’s what we need to look forward to …
Marshall Heston 60 is essentially a more compact version of the amazing Heston 120. It packs in so much of the good things from its older siblings: Dolby Atmos and DTS: X Support; Wi-Fi Music Service Integrations (Think AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect); HDMI 2.1 -Review … You get the picture!
I’m a big fan of how the wider Heston 120 sounds. For an all-in-one unit, it can offer seriously influential bass, surprisingly expansive atmosis effects and impeccable music performance. Of course Heston 60s smaller size and lower total effect of 56W (compared to Heston 120’s 150W) that it probably won’t quite Blow my socks off to the same degree. But still Marshall has assured that it is capable of “huge sound” with a little help from its 7th grade D amplifiers.
Fortunately, I managed to get a sneak peak on Heston 60 (and Heston Sub 200) during the reveal of Heston 120 at Marshalls Stockholm HQ. And even though I didn’t get to hear that I loved it, I saw. Yes, the smaller sound beam follows in the footprints of its siblings with an ampins-sprouted look with a woven fret and faux-leather finish. It does not have the beautiful crushed metal buttons, but it has golden controls for playback, source and sound states.
Marshall Heston 60 will be available in both black and cream and offers double mounting options. In essence, this means that it can be placed flat against a wall or stands on a TV bench. The Marshall logo and control panel are both magnetic and can be placed again depending on which configuration you choose.

Meanwhile, Heston Sub 200 is beaten as a “foundation-shaking” soundbar partner that can take your Heston 60 or 120 to the next level. This 236W subwoofer uses two 5.25-inch woofers and is designed to create low-end output that “moves you”.
It is fully wireless and uses Bluetooth Le Audio to seamlessly connect to a Marshall Soundbar. To configure its audio profile, you can simply pair it into the Marshall app -also necessary to check Heston 60. Here you can access EQ settings, sound states, calibration and more.
This unit extends from 150Hz all the way down to 30Hz and I can see it adding some serious stans. It’s ideal if the all-in-one nature of Heston soundbars doesn’t quite give you the power you need. Earlier this year, I tried to connect Heston 120 to a Q-Acustik-Subwoofer and the results were soiled. And although SUB 200 is not as mighty as the model I was trying, I am still hyped to see if it will be a top-tier-bass-heavy partner for Marshall’s sound beams.
Like Heston 60, under 200 will be available in both black and cream. I got an early look at it in the latter Colorway and was taken by its attractive golden details, tactile physical control button and wonderfully textured exterior. As is often the case with Marshall, these new products are as many pieces of statements as they are soundmates.
Parts of each product will also be available through Marshall’s online store, which helps to make sure they last longer. Elements such as drivers, ribbons and side caps can be acquired for repairs, which means you don’t have to hurry out for a brand new sound bar at the first sign of damage. We both get a review in the not too distant future and will tell you how they are doing. Until then, why not check Heston 120 or some of the other best sound beams around!
