Marvel rivals Season 2.5 is now only a few hours away and is set to add Ultron as a brand new strategist. It looks like this new season – or half season – could be one for the books considering the planned changes to a number of heroes, the addition of new team -ups and even a new card to play on.
I cover the structure of season 2.5’s launch over the next 24 hours, leading up to downtime and then sharing my thoughts when it’s all live.
Marvel Rival Season 2.5 Key Info
Netease has been busy teasing the next season of Marvel rivals Over the past week, after revealing Ultron’s Kit, as well as a deep dive in the upcoming patch notes and balance changes. There is also a new card to look at that seems to be the dark and mysterious lair of the villainous X-tron. If my early impressions are correct, season 2.5 will seriously shake up the meta in competitive state and could even change some heroes around my Marvel rivals Level.
After covering last season launch live, I look forward to seeing how things are panning this time. Since launch I have played hundreds of hours Marvel rivalspredominantly in competitive state. Lately, I’ve focused on Luna Snow and Magneto as my main lines, but will definitely try Ultron on the launch day to see if he is measuring or not.

Marvel rivals Ultron

The main update in Marvel rivals Season 2.5 is Ultron, who joins the game as a new strategist. He is a flying character with a laser beam attack that has unlimited range. His abilities allow him to protect teammates, add drones to them to give additional shields, and his ultimate fires a series of blasts that heal teammates and damage enemies at the same time.
It looks like Ultron will have great synergy with other flying characters and has a new team up with Iron-Man. We will have to wait and see if he will be a viable choice with Luna Snow and Invisible Woman, but early characters look promising.

Marvel Rival Season 2.5 New Map
Look at
Hellfire Gala: Arakko is added as a new card in season 2.5. It is the lair of the villainous x-tron and has lots of evil machines and robot control embedded in hard, cold stone.
As you would expect, it’s a dark, cavity with glowing red lights and a hard, rock-led soundtrack. It will be interesting to see how Arakko acts as a map in a competitive state, and joins Krakoa as this season new additions.
Netease has released a new trailer for Arakko, which you can see above.
Marvel Rival Season 2.5 Ranked Changes

There are not too many changes in ranked games in season 2.5, although there will be a new set of ranked rewards to earn, and a new convoy card in Arakko.
The reward for reaching Gold Tier 3 by the end of the season is Ultron – Golden Ultron Skin, which we have not yet seen. There are brand new honorary priests for Grand Master, Heavenly, Eternal and Top 500 to earn too. At present, there has been no notice of a reset of rank, although this can be changed when we get closer to the launch day.

Jake Green
As a freelance -play writer it is my job to keep up to date with the latest games, especially Live Service -Titler as Marvel rivals. I have put hundreds of hours in Rivals Since the launch, primarily to win Venom, which I now have a Lord rank. Generally, I play competitive state with a regular team hovering around the top of the platinum level. So far, I have mostly held myself to the Vanguard and Strategist roles, so I’m definitely excited to get my hands on Ultron. There are also buffs for Magneto and Doctor Strange, two characters I definitely love to play like.
