- Marvel zombies Has the land a new release date on Disney+
- The adult animated TV show premieres in late September
- The What if …? Season 1 spin-off was originally out in early October
Spooky season starts earlier than expected on Disney+ this year after it was revealed Marvel’s Next TV Show will premiere at the end of September.
Marvel zombieswhich continues the story told in What if …? Season 1 section 4, alias ‘What if … Zombies!?’, Will make its bow on September 24th. The news comes with the permission of collider who reported exclusively whether the adult animated series’ revised launch date.
Previously, the cartoon giant had confirmed Marvel zombies would be released on October 3rd. It is unclear why the R-classified production comes seven days earlier than its first launch date. Given Marvel’s latest animated offer – Eyes of Wakanda – So his Disney+ release moved up three weeks from its original August 27 premiere, Zombies‘Revised release is not a once.
Either way, Marvel zombies will be the penultimate Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) project arriving in 2025. The only production that does not yet see the light of day is Wonder manalias the next live-action Marvel Phase 6 TV show. It is set to arrive sometime in December, and I would expect an official release date and/or the trailer to be revealed on the D23 Expo 2025, which takes place 29 August 31 or at New York Comic-Con in mid-October.
Why is Marvel zombies coming to Disney+ earlier than expected?
As I outlined above, no official reason has been given to Marvel zombies‘New launch date, but I have my theories of why it has been stabbed in the release plan of the study.
First, it and Wonder man is the last two MCU of the year. It makes sense for Marvel to place them out, then rather than release two projects in relative proximity to the other. Marvel recently did it with The Fantastic Four: First Steps and Eyes of Wakanda – And without being interested in data on the latter performance on Disney+, I doubt the viewer was as big as it could have been if fans went to see First step instead.
Then there’s the fact First step Coming to Disney+, also known as one of the world’s best streaming services before the year is over. My Fantastic Four: First step On the Disney+ article contains a prediction of November for its home release date. But if it ends up joining the streamer’s back catalog in October instead, it would again be unbelievable of Marvel to release two things on the same service within days or weeks after another.
Zombies‘Previous launch is such good news, right? Not if you hoped it would rise from the grave in time to Halloween because its original release date would have been perfect for its horrific tale. Now that it is sent in late September, however, it loses some of the creepy seasonal gloss, especially as all four episodes will fall on the same date rather than on a weekly basis.
There is an argument that needs to be made that fans could just wait until October to see it, but it’s not the same as streaming a show as soon as it arrives, even more if a program like Zombies is holiday theme. It’s not too late for Marvel to turn the course, but I think my pleas fall on deaf ears.
