Punjab chief minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday ordered the exploitation of all available resources to the flood victims in the province.
She was chairman of a four -hour meeting where the situation of all flooded hit areas across Punjab was reviewed. Reports of relief and rescue activities in the districts affected were presented and reviewed at the meeting.
The Minister of the Principal ordered the authorities concerned to adopt emergency measures in the hospitals considering the flood situation in all districts in Punjab.
She also visited Shahdara to undergo the flood situation in the Ravi River. She observed the water level at the Shahdara bridge, the security pond and other protective measures. She was assessed by the possible flow of water in the river.

The Minister of Ministry instructed the administration and departments that dealt with the rescue and relief activities to end the evacuation of the population and livestock from river transitions at the earliest.
The Lahore -Vice Commissioner gave a briefing on the situation in the river and the affected areas.
CM was informed during the meeting earlier in the day that all relevant departments in the Punjab government monitored the flood situation around the clock. Services of the Army were called to seven districts – Lahore, Kasur, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Okara and Sargodha.

District Administration, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Rescue 1122, Civil Defense and Police deals with performing rescue and relief operations on the front line.
Districts Kasur, Okara, Pakpattan, Vehari, Bahawalnagar and Bahawalpur were declared affected due to flooding in the Sutlej River.
At least 72 villages and 45,000 people in the Kasur district have been severely affected by the high level of flood in the river, the minister of chief was informed.

She was informed that 12 villages in Pakpattan, 23 in Vehari, 75 in Bahawalnagar and 15 in Bahawalpur had been affected by the floods. To tackle the situation are 130 boats, spread motor ships, bicycles, 1,300 rescue jackets and 245 life rings have been delivered to the affected districts.
More than 150,000 people and 35,000 livestock have been moved to safe places, and emergency camps along with medical and veterinary services have been established. More than 2,600 flood victims are treated in medical relief.
Provincial senior minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, chief secretary and other senior officers attended the meeting.

Maryam also expressed gratitude for safe evacuation of 25 people caught in flooding water in the Shakargarh area. “Every life is precious. Those who saved the 25 people are national heroes,” she said.
She paid tribute to the Shakargarh administration and the rescue team to carry out timely rescue operation. The main minister said, “Flood is a natural disaster, but security for people’s lives and property will be secured at all costs.”
She appealed to the people to stay away from the river and stream courses and emphasized the need to move to safe places well in time.

Provincial Cabinet Committee on Disaster Management’s chairman Khawaja Salman Rafique said during a visit to the Ravi River to review the situation that instructions had been issued for immediate evacuation of citizens from riverbed in Lahore, Sheikhupura and Nankana.
Events to handle the high -level flood in the river at Jasar were reviewed on the occasion.
The Minister said that all rescue and relief agencies should remain on high alarm and that there was no room for negligence. He said residents of the affected areas should be moved to safe places and delivered all facilities in relief.
PDMA ensures continuous coordination throughout the province and the district administrations have been instructed to remain active. The Minister urged citizens to remain at home and avoid unnecessary journeys.
