A man in North Dakota faces five years in prison after allegedly threatened an Augusta National employee.
Joseph Armand Zimmer, 48, alleged to have told an employee that he would “throw [the individual] in a cell and have [her] set in fire “and that he would” blow [her] Get off, ”according to the Department of Justice.
DOJ said Zimmer called the golf club in February and made several violent threats to the female employee.

“Those who pose threats to members of our society in violation of the federal law will be held responsible as we continue to work with our law enforcement partners to identify and bring those who seek to scare and adapt to the fear of our citizens,” said American Tara M. lawyer Lyons said in a news message.
“The FBI deals with threatening communication with the greatest seriousness and will dedicate all available resources to locating and prosecuting those responsible for such actions,” added Paul Brown, specialist in charge of the FBI Atlanta, in release. “We trust that this indictment sends a clear message to anyone considering making threats, whether genuine or manufactured, on electronic means.”
