Jackson Jobe, one of Detroit Tigers’ top views and the son of a Masters golf player, picked up the first major league victory in his career on Saturday against Minnesota Twins.
Jobe is the son of Brandt Jobe, who appeared in three Masters competitions and ended bound to 14 in 1999.
Jackson Jobe went out six laps and knocked out two slaughterers and allowed two hits when Tigers won the game 4-0. It was his third start of the season.

He explained his gameplan to journalists as he had no lots of strikes on the day.
“I just haven’t thrown my curve ball for strikes, so there was a great deal of emphasis on it going into today’s excursion,” he said via mlb.com. “I’ve wanted to throw it a little more, but [catcher Tomás] Nido won’t call it if I don’t throw it for strikes. I feel like it took a pretty big step today. “
The victory came in the middle of Masters weekend at Augusta National in Georgia and fond memories of his father competing in the tournament.

ESPN noted that Jobe Caddied for his father during the par 3 competition in 2006.
Brandt Jobe had 16 professional victories during his career. Six came on PGA for the Japan Tour. The highest he ever was ranked as 30 in 1998.
He was the Canadian tour order of 1990 and the winner of Merit and Asia Golf Circuit Order of Merit Winner.

As for Tigers, they are at the top of the American League Central Division with a 9-5 record.
