Jason Day came with headlines last year at the masters with his unconventional clothes during the first round. This year, they asked the powers that were at the Augusta National Golf Club to tone his look down.
Day, a 13-time PGA Tour The winner and winner of the PGA Championship 2015 revealed this week that he was asked to remove his controversial sweater vest at last year’s Masters, during a round where he was collaborated with Tiger Woods.

“We just put it on and then [it] Kinda was crazy, “remembered Day during a performance on “Dan On Golf” podcast. “It doesn’t take much to stand out in golf because just everyone carries the same thing essentially.”

Day is the ambassador of Malbon Golf, a golf clothing company based on Los Angeles, and the duo came up with the idea to carry a unique sweater vest that had the words “Malbon Golf Champion” in large red and black letters spread across the front.
During the round, Day got words that someone from the tournament asked for him to remove the clothes that he committed.
“My agent got a call from high above and said, ‘Hi, we need Jason to take that vest off.'”

Day said the question last year caused the tournament to request an early look at what his plans for this year’s Masters were, and surprisingly, the initial plans were ax.
“It would have been much crazy than last year.”
The Australian golfer said he would not classify himself as a style icon, but he certainly likes to push the boundaries.

“I like to cradle on the edge of traditional golf and take it to the line and then bring it back.”
“I’m not here to step on someone’s toes because I know that when we play the masters, it’s all about Masters – it’s always about the tournaments,” he said. “The whole experience of Augusta is phenomenal. I just want to make sure I don’t try to do something that is too crazy or foreign to respect the tournament. I always try to be as respectful as possible.”
Fans will have to wait until 7 p.m. 9:58 A Thursday to see which day has been planning. He plays his first round with Three-time Masters-Winner Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley.
