Masters Viral Moment: Patton Kizzire Crawls in Buskbery to Line Up Shot

Patton Kizzire was in an uncertain position on the fifth hole during the first round of Masters Thursday.

Kizzire, 39, hit a shit -tee shot in the bushes from the right side of the fairway.

As he tried to figure out how to get out of the bush, Kizzire bent down on all fours to try to find a window he could knock his second shot out of.

The expedition in the bushes turned out to be fertile when Kizzire found a satisfactory hole in the branches. He knocked out his second shot in the middle of the fairway without any problems.

His third shot on par-4 fifth was 152 meters out. He hit his iron shot to five meters and gave himself a chance of somehow saving pairs from his troublesome drive.

However, Kizzire blasted the five-foot pair of putt past the hole and had to settle for bogey.

At this point, Kizzire was 4-over pair through eight holes.

This is Kizzire’s third masters -start and his first since 2019. This is the first Major Montgomery, Alabama, natives have been playing in the 2022 US Open.

Kizzire played College Golf at Auburn and turned Pro in 2008, and he won his PGA Tour card through Korn Ferry Tour in 2015, when he won the player of the year with two wins and 12 top 10 finish.

Kizzire joined the PGA Tour in 2016 and has three career wedding benefits. He won 2017 OHL Classic at Mayakoba, 2018 Sony Open in Hawaii and 2024 Procore Championship in September.
