Matthew Rhys recently revealed that he had to convince The beast in me Hold that he could pull off of being creepy.
In a talk with Entertainment weekly, The 50-year-old Welsh actor admitted when he read the manuscript for Netflix’s Show, The beast in me, He believed that the role of Nile Jarvis, a real estate agent suspected of killing his wife, was out of his reach.
When he shared his thoughts, Rhys said, “I read it and I was like, ‘I don’t get this. People don’t come to me for this.’ I have these Celtic eyes.
In addition, the show’s creator, Howard Gordon, continued to offer his thoughts on The edge of love Star’s audition and noticed that he couldn’t get a chance to portray a role as a sociopath or megalomans before.
“He brought something else to it. He’s so charming and funny and charismatic. But he’s scary,” Gordon admitted.
“I had to persuade them that I could be creepy,” Rhys asked, adding with a joke that he ‘parked outside’ role crew Claire Danes’ residence to prove his point and said, “It seemed to do so.”
