Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, met with Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican during a global interfaith gathering, his media office said on Thursday.
The meeting, which included religious scholars, clerics and leaders from various faiths, focused on promoting global peace and interfaith harmony.
on the occasion, Maulana Khabir Azad, who is also Khateeb of Lahore’s Badshahi Mosque and Peace Ambassador, emphasized that interfaith harmony is an urgent necessity. “Through dialogue we can lead the world towards peace,” he said.
