Dalla’s Maverick’s assistant coach Darrell Armstrong was arrested in the early hours of Saturday and indicted for worsening assault on his girlfriend, police say.
Dallas police officers were called to the 1000 block Ross Ave. In the center of Dallas around 7 p.m. 03.45, when a study found that Armstrong and his girlfriend had been in an argument.
At one point, Armstrong hit her with a gun and threatened to shoot her, according to police. An arrest warrant declaration on Armstrong, obtained by Fox 4 Dallas, said the incident started because of his girlfriend who questioned him about a text from another woman.

The victim allegedly told police Armstrong had been drinking that night and demanding that she give him his keys to their apartment. She then claimed that Armstrong was on the phone with another person when he picked up a gun and hit her on the side of her face.
Authorities said they saw a mark on the woman’s cheek under her left eye.
