- Max debuting a new MultiView -Function for the first time
- The experience will be limited to nascar but puts you in the driver’s seat
- It will be available for all major races this season
Max subscribers, start your engines. Just a few days after moving the main navigation menu from the top to the left side panel on its website, the streaming service is performing yet another tow -‘s first multi-line experience ever. This means that for a program you have four separate views.
Max’s first multiview experience is to be named NASCAR -Driver Cam, and it should be a significant victory for racing fans. It debuts with the Cook Out clash at Bowman Gray on February 2nd, 2025, just in a few short days and allows you to get the view from any driver in the race.
The idea is that your power will be divided into four different views so you can see inside four different driver’s cars along with core statistics such as speed, gear, rpm and the course position and location. Given that there will be up to 40 drivers to choose from, Max will help you with any indecision by offering two MultiVIEVERFOREFORMER, but you can also choose a single driver and see that view fully.
You also get individual checks for each driver comb so you can break, rewind, click back to life and hear the individual team sound. Max notes that the view will be 1080p for the driver cameras with a custom sound blend that pairs car noise with team radios.
It is definitely a unique view and it was previously not available unless the TV production decided to cut to it. Max, TNT Sports and Nascar put more of the control in your hands, and if you are a racing fan, this is pretty darn exciting.
Furthermore, it is not only for the Cook Out clash. Max will offer NASCAR -DRIVER CAME –connected -The -very neat.
It’s a pretty impressive tech feat that Max pulls off. While not the first streamer to offer multi-view, there is a lot of customization here. Given that Max spins this up for NASCAR and that there is other sports with the permission of TNT Sports on the platform, we could see this roll -out replicated in the future.
I hope Max will at least allow you to create your own MultiView setup and choose the four views you want, rather than preset or fan-selected, based on the most popular driver comb.
Could it be a potential game for TV shows or movies? It’s a little harder to tell, for example, to watch four different episodes of a show like Curb your enthusiasm or Dragon House Maybe be shoveling, but what if there are more immersive views or you can decide the clip or what you are looking at? It is an interesting thought, like choosing your own adventure, but Max has not committed to anything similar.
Currently, Max has begun MultiView for NASCAR, and from the shared images it looks like a rather compelling experience that will put fans closer to the racers they will win, and ultimately closer to the action.
Furthermore, it doesn’t come with a price increase … not yet I hope they just don’t copy Netflix in the future. Check out our list of the best shows and movies to watch Max here.
