FAST FOOD -GIGANT McDonald’s has revealed a new collaboration to celebrate the troublingly impending arrival of A Minecraft movie.
The new Minecraft movie meal and a Minecraft movie Happy Meal Falling appropriate to April 1 in the United States. The meal contains your choice of a Big Mac or 10-piece chicken McNuggets Plus Medium Fries and a drink.
If that wasn’t enough, you will also get one of six limited editions that range from the Big Mac crystal (allegedly “extracted from the sea of special sauce” – whatever it means) to a blocked purple grimase egg.
Here are the names of all the collector’s objects to get hold of:
- Big Mac Crystal
- Birdie Wings
- Fry Helmet
- Grimace eggs
- Soda
- Zombie Hamburglar
Each collectibles comes with a special code to lock a similar, exclusive skin on the Minecraft market. As for a Minecraft movie Happy Meal, it comes with one of twelve films-inspired toys and a scannabel code that unlocks a digital game to play.
Collaben also introduces a new sauce: the limited edition Nether Flame Sauce. This is described as a hot sauce with crushed red pepper and cayenne over hints of garlic and sweetness.
Things are a little more exciting in the UK, where you can get your hands on the A Minecraft movie meal (complete with Collectibles and in-game items) plus Nether flame sauce from March 26.
Those in the region will also be able to try Apple Cake McLurry, who comes topped with cubes with shortcake and a sour apple sauce. The brand claims it is “McDonald’s’ most innovative flavor combination for a long time”, but I will judge it for myself when it hits stores.
