Meghan, who hoped the show would help her rebrand herself, has been deeply injured by the negative reactions, has a royal insider revealed.

The Duchess of Sussex, now walking by Meghan Sussex, thought the series could relaunch her career and increase her image, but insiders say she now feels crushed and humiliated.

“Meghan is away from being on a completely tall to feel crushed and humiliated,” the insider told Closer magazine.

“She was firmly in the fact that this would be a central moment for her and really thought it could make her the next Martha Stewart-a opportunity to restart her career and increase her image.”

While the show briefly entered the top 10, the insider said Meghan is aware that the classifications were probably driven by curiosity about her rather than genuine interest in the show itself.

The source continued: “Of course she expected some negative reaction, but that does not mean that the setback she has received has hurt less.”

“She’s destroyed. She has tried to plaster on a smile and cling to the fact that the show reached the top 10 for a few days.

“But deep down, she knows that these ratings would have been from all the intrigues around her, and possibly not a genuine interest in the program itself.”
