Meghan Markle joined Princess Kate and thousands of women globally to mark a special occasion with a heartfelt prayer.
On March 8, the Duchess of Sussex released a statement to celebrate “the strength, resilience and achievements of women” on International Women’s Day.
On the Sussexes’ official website, Meghan urged people to stand up for women in communities around them.
Speaking about the mission of her and Prince Harry’s Archewell Philanthropies, the former working royal spokesman said: “We are proud to lift up organizations that provide safety, housing and critical support to women rebuilding their lives.”
Meghan said she is honored to support such initiatives, which aim to offer “stability, dignity and opportunity” to underprivileged women and their families.
Her team mentioned a list of some organizations that receive support from Archewell.
At the end of her emotional message, Meghan emphasized that you should support women all year round and not just “once a year.”
In a plea to her fans, the doting mother of Archie and Liliber said: “If you’re looking for a way to show up for women, consider supporting a shelter or organization in your own community.”
It is important to mention that Meghan celebrated Women’s Day after she and Netflix announced that they are ending their partnership for As Ever.
