Meghan Markle raised alarm bells over ‘Jolty’ entry into the UK

Meghan Markle would not have a mentor in the royal family upon her arrival, says an expert.

The Duchess of Sussex, associated with Sophie Wessex for her informal royal training, opposed tips from the Duchess of Edinburgh.

The Royal Expert Gyles Brandreth told the Daily Mail: “The Queen wanted Meghan to make a success with marriage and her new role, and actually did everything she could to encourage it.

“I think she suggested her Sophie Wessex, who was definitely a favorite with her, and had been through it because she had married the royal family and married Prince Edward to help her, be a kind of mentor.”

Brandereth also wrote: “The Queen (who of course had seen it all before) understood that Harry’s girl might find adaptation to the royal life ‘challenging to begin with’ (as she put it). ‘It’s very unclear, but you soon get used to it’. It was her Majesty’s experience with many years.
