Prince William’s decision to appoint Jason Knauf as CEO of the Earthshot award has raised the eyebrows, which come months after Knauf, former communications secretary at Kensington Palace, talked a lot about the prince of Wales and praised his potential as king.

In an interview with 60 minutes Australia, Knauf spoke positively about Prince William’s future role as king.

The former CEO of the Royal Foundation said William will “bring [so] Very down -to -earth wisdom and connection ”when he becomes king.

Knauf also described Prince William as “what you see is what you get”, which suggests he is real and authentic.

His appointment has already caused reactions from some people online that see it a kind of reward for the services he provided for William.

Knauf played a significant role in the rift that broke out between Prince Harry and his older brother.

He had deposited against Meghan Markle in a lawsuit while still working for Prince William and Kate Middleton.

He sent an E email to the Simon case, then Prince William’s private secretary and raised concerns about Meghan’s behavior towards the staff.

In this e -mail, Knauf claimed Meghan had bullied two personal assistants, driven them out of the household and undermined the confidence of a third employee.

This e -mail became a flash point in the escalating gap between the brothers.

Meghan’s team strongly denied these accusations and framed them as part of a calculated smear campaign from the palace, while Harry described the influence of the leak as leaving Meghan in tears and accused the institution of “gas -lit” them.

Knauf’s role further elaborated during Meghan’s trial from 2021 against affiliated newspapers, publishers of the email on Sunday, over the publication of a private letter she wrote to her father, Thomas Markle.

When the case moved to the Court of Appeal, Knauf delivered a testimony that opposed Meghan’s earlier claims.

He revealed that Meghan had consulted him about the draft of the letter, which suggested she wrote it with an awareness that it could leak, a detail used by the newspaper to claim that it was not really private.

In their Netflix documentary, Harry and Meghan expressed shock and treason over this, where their lawyer Jenny Afia claimed that Knauf’s statement could have only been approved by his boss.

Harry called it a sign of the “symbiotic relationship” between the royal institution and the press and made him leave Britain. Knauf’s representatives opposed that he was asked to present evidence from both sides and remained neutral and acted according to legal advice.
