Quetta:

Balochistan National Party (GDP) leader Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal has said that roadblocks and limitations will not deter the Baloch people from raising their vote against oppression.

When Wadh to Quetta Long March was to begin, he shared a message on social media, emphasizing that no obstruction amount could be prevented.

Mengal criticized authorities for placing containers on key routes from Khuzdar to Quetta and blocking larger entry points despite their announcement that the long march will be peaceful.

He claimed that today the Baloch people would respond to harassment of their women and children and confirmed their willingness to resist oppression.

Meanwhile, the provincial administration has introduced section 144 and banned all political and social gatherings throughout Balochistan due to security concerns. In addition, the Department of Home and Tribal Affairs has prohibited the use of black-daunting vehicle windows and the public display of weapons to maintain law and order.

In the midst of these increased restrictions, Internet services have been suspended over Balochistan, with mobile signals being disturbed in Quetta, Khuzdar, Nushki and other districts, which further limits communication.

Despite these measures, however, the marches remain decisive in their mission.

On March 26, GDP-Mchief Akhtar Mengal announced to lead a long March 28th on March 28 from WADH to Quetta against retention of BYC leaders.

By going to his X-grip, the GDP-M chief mentioned that he would have a long march, “which is against the arrest of our daughters and respect from our mothers and sisters.”

He invited the Baloch community, including men, women, elders and young people to participate in the long march.

“It’s not just the question of our daughters ‘arrest, but it’s a matter of our national dignity, our honor and out existence,” twited Mengal and added,’ we won’t sit silent until our daughters, sisters and mothers are safe. “

“Our movement is peaceful. We have come out towards cruelty and persecution. We will not stop unless we get justice,” maintained the GDP M chief. “Our march from Quetta to Wadh is not a journey with steps, but a conscience journey. The time is that we get united and raise a single voice,” he added.

Previously, several BYC demonstrants, including its main organizer Mahrang Baloch, were taken into custody on Friday, after protesters from the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) collided with the rebel police, Pelting Armored vehicles with stones and law enforcement who responded with the help of tear gas, water cannons and blank shots on sariab road near Balochistan University.
