Most parts of Pakistan continue to experience warm and dry weather, with rising temperatures expected in the coming days. However, the meteorological department has predicted rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds in some northern regions of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
According to recent counseling, drying conditions are likely to continue over large parts of the province, especially in southern districts, where the heat will be more intense compared to other areas.
Road experts indicated an opportunity for rainfall in parts of Chitral, DIR, Kohistan, Mansehra and SWAT, accompanied by Gusty Wind and Lightning. These areas were also witnessing scattered showers the previous day.
Precipitation registered the previous day included 14 mm in Dir, 9 mm in Kalam, 4 mm in Drosh and 3 mm each in Patan and Balakot.
Temperature readings showed bulging conditions across key cities with Peshawar registration 35 ° C, dera Ismail Khan 39 ° C, Bannu 35 ° C, while cooler conditions prevailed in hilly areas with Kalam at 16 ° C, Malam Jabba 18 ° C, Chitral 22 ° C and DIR 26 ° C.
Authorities have advised residents, especially in southern KP, to remain hydrated and limit outdoor activity in peak times. Weather conditions are expected to remain the same over the next 48 hours.
