Miami Hurricane’s wide recipient CJ Daniels is already a catch of this year’s candidate after the team’s 27-24 win over Notre Dame on Sunday night.
With 12 seconds back in the first half, Daniels saved a potential eavesdropping thrown by new hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck as he jumped into the air and snapped the ball behind his head with one hand and fell into the final zone for six points.

But Daniels’ Grab secured lots of momentum for the home layer, and it went straight into the second half as Charmar Brown scored 7:23 back in the third quarter to take a commanding 21-7 lead.
Carr was able to keep the game Irish in the game with a one-yard flip to Jordan Faison to do it 21-14. But Miami had to make the intensity up a notch as Carr quickly tied the game at 24 pieces late in the fourth quarter with his first career rushing touchdown.

Beck and the hurricanes had a chance to run downfield and kill the clock in the process of the game-winning score, and that was the perfect pace when Carter Davis spiked a field goal with 1:04 back to take the three-point lead.
Carr had a chance to transform his solid debut into a very memorable one with a game-winning driving, but he took back-to-back bag followed by a false start to the fighting Irish offensive line with five seconds left, effectively ending the game due to the penalty.
Daniels ended the game with five catches in 46 yards, and the catch he will never forget in the team’s home -opening victory. Toney led the hurricanes with 82 yards who received on six catches.
Beck had an effective first game in a Miami uniform that went 20-of-31 in 205 yards and two touchdown passes with zero interceptions.

Meanwhile, Carr 19-of-30 went into 221 yards with two touchdowns and an interception thrown. Eli Raridon had a game-high 97 meters to Notre Dame of only five catches, while the hurricanes held the dynamic duo of Jadarian Price and Jeremiyah Love in chess for their standards with 78 yard’s rushing at 16 combined carrier.
The victory will definitely move the hurricanes up the AP Top 25 locations, but we will see how far Notre Dame is slipping after facing a tough opponent.
